Climbing Half-Dome (UPDATED PHOTO)

On Saturday, June 20, 2009, Kathy, Robin, Julie and I went to Yosemite to hike and climb to the top of Half-Dome (right side of the photo). It's a 17 mile round trip and a 4,000 foot elevation gain. We started at 5:00 AM and returned at 5:00 PM.

When I finally arrived at Half-Dome, there was an enormous line of people crowding the metal cables going up the rock.

The ascent up the rock is very steep and you must absolutely pull yourself up.
