Day 1:

I don't know what happened. I don't know where I am or how I got here. When I went to bed last night, I was in my house and on my bed, quite comfortable. When I woke up, I was on a sandy beach with an endless sea on my left and dry land on my right. I fear I would not have woken up at all if not for the crab-like creature that pinched my toe. Yes, a crab-like creature. Not a crab. I can't tell what it is for sure, as I have never seen anything like it before. For the first few minutes, I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off. This world was totally unfamiliar and seemed to defy the laws of physics; there was a floating island! In the sky! Everything was square in shape except the animals. There were a few recognizable animals: cows, pigs, and chickens. As far as chickens go, I've only seen hens, no cocks.

Once the initial shock of waking up in this unfamiliar world, I started calling for people. All this did was attract some of the animals over to me. I realized after a while that I was totally alone. The panic kicked in again, but I fought it off as I realized that I needed to get shelter, and fast. The sun was going down, even though it had been barely rising what seemed like 10 minutes ago. My watch is missing from my wrist, so I can't tell the time. I didn't feel sleepy, even though I'd been running around and yelling. Finding no tools around me, I yelled loudly and slammed my fist on a tree, which only caused me to shriek louder. Something caught my attention though: slamming my fist on the tree caused cracks to appear on it. When I stopped, the cracks miraculously healed. I remembered that tools could be made out of wood, so I set to pounding the tree trunk as hard as I could. It hurt, but not even a minute later, I'd chopped down the entire tree. Yes, the entire tree. I also had 4 logs to show for it. It took some time, but I found that the logs could be further split into wooden blocks, and then into 4 sticks for each block. The blocks could also be shaped into something roughly like a blade. Oddly enough, this required three wooden blocks. With that, I was able to construct a makeshift axe. It somehow held together without any binding, and I was able to further chop wood quickly without injuring my hand further.

Once I was satisfied with the amount of wood I had, I constructed a shovel so that I may dig my shelter. I dug my shelter as quickly as I could and hid in it just as the moon had appeared in the sky. Watching out from my bunker, I saw what appeared to be a zombie, a skeleton, and another zombie with no arms. My eyes widened as I realized exactly how human-like they looked. Is that the ultimate fate of anyone who comes to this god-forsaken place? I huddled in a ball and softly cried, allowing panic to finally set in fully. The stress of the day's work wore heavily on my shoulder's as I just sat there until the sun came up. Oddly, I saw that the sun caused these... these creatures to burn. With no small amount of satisfaction, I emerged from my shelter when it was safe and went back to work.

I'm writing this journal in the hopes that if I should meet an untimely end, someone may find it and benefit from my experiences. I don't know what I'll find out here or how I'll survive, but I have to find a way...

I have to. For my own sake. For my friend's sakes. For my family's sake.

For her sake.

This is a fictional piece set in the world of Minecraft. Any deviations from reality are intentional and aren't necessarily supposed to make sense. As this is written in the form of a journal, it's likely that there will be very little description of the main character, Hunter. What gender is Hunter? That depends if you prefer straight people or yuri =p I intentionally chose an androgynous name.

So how did he get to this world where survival is a day to day struggle? I don't know. Odds are we'll never find out.

I was tempted to make this a PMD crossover, but I decided against it, 'cause that wouldn't exactly make a ton of sense. It'd mostly just be an excuse to make the main character a typhlosion.

So what did you all think of this? I've always wanted to write a piece of fiction set in the world of Minecraft, and I finally got around to it! I don't plan to update this regularly, it's basically whenever I feel up to it. Minecraft is (c) Notch, the character of Hunter is my creation and no one else's.

Obligatory meme: THIS PICKAXE IS NOW DIAMONDS. Well, it will be if Hunter ever finds any diamonds :P

I'm slightly confused, but sounds pretty good so far... keep it up.

That's the point - it's not supposed to immediately make sense. This world follows different rules than our own. I'm trying to implement the gameplay mechanics as a literal part of that world.

Oh, ok. Just hope it makes more sense to game 'tards like me. xD

It will later on.

Typhosion has infinite torches. Oh noes.

Yeah there's that part too - wouldn't work in the world of the game since Typhlosion can light its own way. I thought about justifying it with Hunter not being able to light his/her flames, but I decided against Hunter being a Typhlosion at all.
