Description

Personal piece 2018.
Directly inspired by "Wanderer above the Sea of Fog" by Caspar David Friedrich.
This is a remake of an older artwork, in which I was struggling to achieve a believable depth of field effect. I'm glad I refused to be lazy and start all over again from scratch since I learned so much, a feel I hadn't experienced in a long time.

Hi Andrea

I wanted to email you because it's a little long but i didn't find your email.

I appreciate your works and they inspire me. I got an idea and i think it would be great if you can make it real.

this is my idea:

I don't know whether your familiar with Gaussian Curve or not but it's the normal distribution for most of phenomenons in nature. I've thought it could be correct even about us, about how great we are. according to Gaussian distribution, for example if you have 100 numbers 98% of it are in this interval:[-sigma,sigma](in neighborhood of mean value).

In simple , most of your data are about your mean value.

In this metaphor i say most of people are about mean value, not very good and not very bad but if go about perfection there are many few people who are great.sometimes it may take a century to a genius like Nikola Tesla being born.

I think all of this can be represented in an illustration that have Gaussian curve and people faces and you better know.

sorry for writing very much.

Good luck.
