September 29th, every year since the first, Splinter and his four turtle sons had gathered around the kitchen table to celebrate their “mutation” day. The day was always a joyous one. Each of the four young boys had a continuous smile plastered on their young faces during this day. Splinter, being their father, could ask for nothing more than what he currently had right in front of him. Though he had lost his family once, he had gotten a chance to have a new one. All four of the young boys that he spent the last couple years training and loving unconditionally were all he seemed to need right now. He was very over protective, he knew this, but he had already lost so much. He couldn’t lose them too. With the threat of them being mutants, the risk of letting them out of his sight was higher. That’s the reason the question was such a hard one for him to answer.
