Do you need any particular program to edit the template?

adobe indesign or photoshop ;)
While this resume might be stylish, it doesn't list any achievements. Profiles are usually useless and not read and a lot of space is taken up with an unnecessary picture. Sorry, on its own this wouldn't cut the mustard for me.

I don't really understand why you need a profile on your resume. I mean, everything important to your employer is written in the cover letter. All the other stuff on your resume should be quick and to the point, easily scannable.

mmm i think it depends...
maybe some employer doesn't ask for a cover letter, so you can write something on your resume, very short but effective, saying who you are, what you are looking for and so on...
also this is just a template, people who doesn't want this section can simply remove it :)
