this is the last of The Fifth Columnist chapter cover series in black and white (i hope!) :XD:

having acquainted myself with various shades of grey over the past two years, i'm eager to experiment with colours again -- but soon! :)

photo reference was used for the tricky pan-down angle (courtesy of Ritz-Carlton Hotels)

The textures and perspective are amazing. The use of light and shadow underline that this is a warm, lazy day being in each other's company. Must have taken you ages!

AHHH! This is soooo beautiful! I really love the detail and the perspective is unique and interesting. And the shading style and your selection of screentones really gives the picture its tone and mood. Very, very awesome job.

I'm shocked and appalled so few people have commented or favorited this!!! I hate when awesome work goes unrecognized T_T

thanks ultema, and also for the fave! :heart: it didn't take too long because i was using a photo ref (thank god!) :)

and the tones are from the How to Draw Manga: Computones plug-in :) they're cool!
