Chapter Thirteen: Situation
I had an incling of who might be here. It was a worry that ate a hole through my stomach. I actually began to feel queasy. Jake shoved his shirt back on whilst I hurried, looking around the meadow, trying to fill my head with trivia just in case. "Jake, if it is them then please do not say anything. I want to go back, and would also quite like it if you were intact by the end of the afternoon."
Jake sighed at me but I was standing my ground. We hurried back hand in hand to the lodge. Jake looked at the floor the whole time, deep in thought. I could really do without whatever he was thinking right now. Sure enough as the house came into sight Jake's face contorted. "It smells like a freaking candy shop in there."
Yep, they were definitely here. We approached the front door but it opened before we got to it. Tanya stood in the doorway, all strawberry blonde hair and statuesque figure. She smiled and led us into the house. Jake slammed the door shut behind him,
