It was an almost silent night, with the only prominent noise being the quiet hum of the ship. The crew was resting, except one. Inside the captain’s room were two people: the captain himself and his lover, the lover in question was the exception as she seemed to be expressing stress during her slumber, she then began to fidget until eventually her eyes sprung open. She slowly sat up, causing the man beside her to wake up as well, he turned his head to her.
“What’s wrong?” He asked as he rubbed his eyes with both hands, his voice sounding tired yet noticeably concerned, “trouble sleeping?”.
“Just an unpleasant dream, honey,” she answered as she too rubbed her eyes. He sat up and leaned close to her.
“About what?” He said. She let out a small sigh.
“Just remembering when we first met,” she responded.
“Oh come on, am I really that bad?” He said with a little chuckle. She chuckled in response.
