Dancing Chibi Avatars

Journal Entry: Thu Jul 6, 2017, 7:20 PM

Dancing Chibi Icons like this one from 400 to 800 depending on difficulty and intricacy.
They will have transparent backgrounds unlike the first one here.

SAMPLES

:iconkum0m0:

I don't usually offer to make things for points, but since I'd like to save up to try and upgrade Geronimo-time to super group I figured I could start with small things like this.

*I'm still doing my regular commissions, but all the money is going to a friend. More info on that here.

HOW TO

  • Simply post here with references of your character
  • After I approve it I'll add you to my working on list
  • I wont really start working on it until the points are sent to gremlingalit.
  • Please don't send the points until I comment back with approval, the total, and add you to my working on list!
  • Once I'm done I'll comment back with the finished icon and add it to the samples above.

What I offer

I do character art, mainly in a cartoon-like style. If you look through my gallery you can get a good gauge on what I lean toward. Below are the explanations of the shots and styles I offer.

Shots:

How much of the character you'll be seeing in the piece.

Full-shot: The character, or characters, will be seen from head to toe.

Mid-shot: The character, or characters, will be seen from the waist up.

Head-shot: The character, or characters, will be seen from the shoulders up.

Character turnarounds: Full shot, seen from the front, back, profile and ¾.

Expressions: Exploring character expressions. You ask for the expression.

Styles:

This is the medium, or how I color the piece.

Sketch: A pencil sketch that I scan and slightly edit in Photoshop. It will be placed against a textured background unless stated otherwise.

Cel-Shaded: Is a coloring technique that mimics traditional animation with simplistic lighting and shading with hard edges.

Painterly: Much like sculpting the colors in place. A lot of brush strokes, textures and lighting involved.

With Background: I think I'm better at doing nature/outdoor scenes. Anything man made, like cities, a room or a car is a bit harder for me.

Special Offers

Free Sketch!

With every order that exceeds $80, you will also receive a sketch, completely free of charge. The sketch should be of one character. Please refrain from choosing characters with complex or cluttered designs.

One time $5 Off Voucher!

All returning clients from previous rounds get $5 off their final commission price. Once your artwork is paid in full, along with your artwork you will receive a file you can use to show me the next time you’d like to commission me again. This voucher only has a one time use.

Contact Info

What exactly are you looking for?

Make sure to add what it is you want, style, shot, the number of characters and their info, along with any reference pictures if possible. If you do not have a reference, be very descriptive. Give other examples of exactly what your character looks like. The more I know about the character, the better. That way I can capture his or her personality perfectly.

What will this piece be used for?

Is it for your own personal use? Specifics not only help get exactly what you want but also help set a price.

When do you need the piece by?

If this is a birthday gift that needs to be done by the end of the month, let me know in that first initial email. It saves a lot of time on all ends. If I have too much work and can't finish the piece in that amount of time, I'll let you know right away so you can move on to another prospect. If I can, but there are any additional costs, I'll be able to let you know that right away as well.

TERMS OF SERVICE

Prices

Prices depend on the shot, style, and the number of characters, though they may vary depending on difficulty. These are just base prices to get an idea of a price range. Just contact me to discuss further.

Style Prices:

    Sketches: $15

    Cel-Shaded: $30

    Painterly: $50

    With Background: $30

Shots:

    Head-shot: $15

    Mid-Shot: $20

    Full-shot: $30

    Character turnarounds: $40 *per character

    Per Expression: 5$

Say you want a sketched character turnaround with three expressions.

    Sketch ($15) + Character turnaround ($40) + Expression (x3=$15) = $70

Extra Characters:

If you only have one character then this doesn't apply.

If you were to add more than one character to your piece, here is how the pricing would work. It would be dependent on the shot you choose this extra character to appear in.

    Head-shot: $10 per extra character

    Mid-shot: $15 per extra character

    Full-shot: $20 per extra character

For example, if you decide to ask for a full-shot sketch of one character you would have to add the price of the full-shot, and then add the sketch, after that you should have your price. If an extra character were added, depending on the shot, you would add that to the price.

    Sketch ($15) + Full-shot ($20) = total $35 + Extra Character Headshot ($10) = $45

Keep in mind that this extra character fee does not apply to Character turnarounds since these are charged per character and style.

Rush fee:

If for some reason you need a piece done in a short amount of time there will be an additional charge. Asking for a rushed piece might affect the final outcome, but it will be placed as a priority above all the rest. I will be working longer hours than usual on your piece, possibly even holidays.

The fee is highly dependent on the time was given and the difficulty of the piece but usually, begin at an additional $30. Final prices can be discussed with the client privately.

Terms of Service

You acknowledge and agree that, by contacting me and purchasing my artwork, you are indicating that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, then you have no right to contact or purchase my services.

I own the rights to my work!
You may not re-sell my artwork in any way, shape or form.

Artist Rights:
I reserve the right to reject any commission for any reason at any time. I retain the rights to display all commissioned work on any personal website, gallery, or journal. If the commissioned work is a time-sensitive gift I may delay public showcase at your request.

In the case of emergencies:
If something happens on my end that might affect the time I have to work on your piece I will contact you immediately. You will have the option of extending the work deadline, or, I may retain the payment for the work that's been completed, but refund the rest.

Cancellations:
If you wish to cancel the commission during the sketch/line art stage you will be refunded 50% of what you paid. If you wish to cancel the commission during or after the coloring stage you will not be issued a refund.

Returned payment fee:
Please make sure you have sufficient funds, and that your information is filled in correctly before purchasing anything. If for any reason the payment did not go through you will be charged an extra $25 the first time, and $35 for each subsequent return payment.

Digital Art:
Keep in mind your purchasing digital goods. Nothing physical, no shipping involved.

Works in Progress:
I like to keep my commissioners in the loop by sending little thumbnail wips every so often, be it via notes or e-mails. That is dependent on the commissioner's preference.

Watermarked Previews:
The wips and final piece will all have watermarks on them. Once the commission is finished, approved and the other half paid for, the original size image without the watermark will be sent, along with smaller sizes, perfect for web viewing.

Prices may vary:
Depending on difficulty and time taken prices might fluctuate.

Payments:
USD only. I usually accept payments via paypal. If you prefer another way of transferring money to me let me know and I'll see what can be done.

Click here for a nice, simple guide of how to transfer money using paypal. Please use the guide. Paypal withdraws a fee if done any other way and I'm sent less than arranged.

Payment in full first:
I start as soon as the piece is paid for. Once the payment is sent I send small thumbnails with watermarks so you can approve them and be kept in the loop. Once approved, and finished, I send the full sized originals without the watermarks. Payment must be completed in full before any finished artwork is received.

Changes:
You will have the opportunity to ask for changes in the commission during the rough sketch stage.  I will present an initial rough sketch from which you may request any revisions to before I refine the drawing.  No more than three sketch re-draws will be made, unless you wish to pay extra for new sketches.

No free edits to the artwork will be made post-coloring stage unless it is due to an error on my part. Any further alterations/additions to the image will incur a fee.

Retention of images and files:
I tend to keep my files stored on my computer, as well as a hard drive, but after two months I tend to go over them and clean out old files. If for any reason you lose files and/or images you have up to 60 days to reclaim them.

Final projects are final!
I retain no responsibility or liability for what the Client or third parties do with the artwork once the artwork is completed.

Working schedule:
My timezone is CST www.timeanddate.com/time/zones…

Because I also have a full-time job, I tend to work on commissioned art during the week from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on Weekends. I like having open communication with my clients, so e-mail, notes, and discord help a lot.

Confidentiality:
All contact between the Artist (me) and the Client will be kept confidential.

Contact Me:
Send me a note or an e-mail at Anamaris@qq.com if you are interested. Make sure to add what it is you want, style, shot, the number of characters and their info, along with any reference pictures if possible.

Thank you~

I've been trying to get more art done and posting it here. I definitely need more practice since I haven't done much art in a while. I've been wanting to focus on colors and digital painting, so my goal is to practice painting different surfaces, however, to make a bit more fun I figured I could use my old gremlins for this. Their designs are pretty simple, so focusing on giving life to their skins should be a fun project.

So if you're curious about these little buggers, keep an eye out, and expect much more about them in the near future.
:iconazuremosquito: tagged me back in April, and it took me this long to log in to devi, check my zillion messages and reply back. Geez, I'm sorry it took this long. ><

So here are the rules:

1) Don't think just share the love!!
(I feel uncomfortable about this rule.)

2) Each person has to share 10 facts about themselves.

3) Choose 10 people and put their icons in your journal. (Do I even have ten friends on DA?)

4) Go to their page and inform them that they have been tagged by you.

5) Not something like "You are tagged if you read that". Uh... this is a sentence fragment and should be part of item No. 4, I believe. (Keeping what Niksche said here).

6) You have to legitimately tag 10 people.(+ESPECIALLY yours waifus /hasbandos/mans or your Deviant Family) (Someone's needy, sheesh).

7) No tag-backs.!!!!!

8) You can't say that you don't do tags.

9) You MUST make a journal entry!

So... ten facts about me, starting... now:

1. I'm living in China, but I'm originally from Puerto Rico.

2. When people ask me where I'm from I tend to just say America, cause not many people know about my little home island.

3. I'm old, but a kid at heart. I don't ever wanna grow up.

4. I spend too much time playing games. I regret it when I see how I could improve my art if I just put some time into it.
Same goes for learning Chinese...

5. I love Deadpool.

6. The games I've been currently drowning in are Skyrim, Guild Wars 2 and Hearthstone.

7. I got super pumped with Wildstar, but because of blocking issues in China, I had to give up trying to play the game. (it's a long story)

8. I'm currently fangirling with TMNT once more.

9. Donatello has, is and always will be my favorite turtle.

10. When I was a kid, to my parents and grandparents dismay, I would take the sticks off of brooms and mops to twirl around for hours in the driveway. I would make believe I was Donatello.

So, tagging... now!

Starting out my life in China, and things are going great so far. I find myself with enough free time to finally be able to re-open commissions, and every little bit helps! Thanks to every that's supported me and helped me now and in the past, you have no idea how much I appreciate it.

What I offer

I do character art of any kind. If you look through my gallery you'll see I've done characters from World of Warcraft, Keroro Gunso, Guild Wars, Gargoyles, Swat Kats, Legend of Korra, Regular Show and Bitey of Brackenwood. I don't just stick to that though, I also do original characters, fan characters, even furries. Honestly, it's really odd for me to say no to something. Just ask and I'll tackle it. Bellow are the explanations of the shots and styles I offer.

Shots: How much of the character you'll be seeing in the piece.
Full-shot: The character, or characters, will be seen from head to toe.
Mid-shot: The character, or characters, will be seen from the waist up.
Head-shot: The character, or characters, will be seen from the shoulders up.

Styles: This is the medium, or how I color the piece.
Sketch: A pencil sketch that I scan and slightly edit in photoshop. It will be placed against an old tattered paper texture background, unless stated otherwise.
Cel-Shaded: Is a coloring technique that mimics traditional animation with simplistic lighting and shading with hard edges.
With Background: I think I'm better at doing nature/outdoor scenes. Anything like cities, in a room, a car are a bit harder for me.

I'm in love with this place. <3

On another note, I'm doing everything possible to leave for China by September. I've got a friend living over there and I'll be staying with her until I can get a job and stand on my own. I really appreciate the opportunity she's giving me. I just wish I had done this sooner.

Just wanted to thank :iconivybeth: for the DA sub. Thanks so much! This might entice me to be more active on here. =D

Been busy with work and a few of my friends getting married these months. Both weddings have been great fun. I dunno what it is with July and weddings. I kept hearing of so many of them.

Anyways, I'll be flooding my gallery with Hey Arnold! art soon. It's hard to do anything with only a few free hours a day. DX

To cut it short, thanks for still watching. I appreciate it.

I finally got a job! Not just any job though, I landed one I loved, as an Illustrator of Educational Digital Books. I'm so pumped!

I wanna say sorry to those I owe art. It's gonna be a lot harder to finish those now with the very limited free time I have.

Anyways, I'll leave you guys with this amazing animation. It definitely made me wanna draw and animate more. youtu.be/KoU0jwUDq74

Oh, and

Just wanted to thank those who watch me, fav my stuff, leave comments now and then. I really appreciate what you guys do. <3

I also wanted to thank those who were still waiting for art from me. Life has been throwing things my way and I've been doing my best to take 'em on. I want you guys to know that I will make time for the drawings soon!

Thanks guys!
Due to past experiences, I decided to change the commission procedure to accept half of the payment first and the other half once the commission is completed and approved for.

I'm a bit saddened because I would like to trust people will follow through, but that's not always the case.

If more time passes and I hear no reply I might have to give out names just to warn fellow artists out there to be weary when accepting commissions.

I feel a little dumb. I should have known better.

If you have no reference images for your character(s) a detailed description would be the second option. The more I know about the character, the better. That way I can capture his or her personality perfectly.

Works in Progress:
I like to keep my commissioners in the loop by sending little thumbnail wips every so often, be it via notes or e-mails. That is dependant on the commissioner's preference.

Watermarked Previews:
The wips and final piece will all have watermarks on them. Once the commission is finished, approved and payed for the original sized image without the watermark will be sent, along with smaller sizes, perfect for web viewing.

Prices may vary:
Depending on difficulty and time taken prices might fluctuate.

Payments:
I usually accept payments via paypal. If you guys prefer another way of transferring money to me let me know and I'll see what can be done.
Click here for a nice, simple guide of how to transfer money using paypal.

I only accept payment after the commission is finished and previewed by you. I send small thumbnails with watermarks so you can approve them. Once approved I accept the paypal payment and once it arrives I send the originals without the watermarks.

Contact Me:
Send me a note or an e-mail at Anima.Anamaris@gmail.com if you are interested. Make sure to add what it is you want, style, shot, number of characters and their info, along with any reference pictures if possible.

Thank you~

Commissions info

Why I don't do :points: Commissions.

I don't usually like saying that I need help or ask for it, but right now not only have things gotten hard for me (I still do not have the money to pay my student loans), but my friend got kicked out of his house. I wanna help him however I can, and this came to mind. I'm still looking furiously for a job. ANY JOB. But while I do, and hope that someone will call telling me I got the job, I can do commissions.

Just send me a note if your interested.

I log on this morning to look through my messages and I find I have a 1 day Premium membership? What's up with that?
A Game my friends and I submitted for the Liberated Pixel Cup challenge.

Enjoy!
