A small message to everyone.
As many of you know I currently reside on a country under a dictatorial regime.
A lot of changes and problems have happened recently and situation on the country has become dire, there is a lot of uncertainty at the moment.
At the same time while things are hard, my work as an illustrator has helped me stay afloat and with hard work and practice I believe little by little I've managed to improve the quality of the drawings I create. My prices have always tried to be competitive and stay as low as possible, yet since it's my only income I've decided I need to adjust them to reflect the work I take on each and ever
I originally wrote this on my personal wall on Spanish which is my native language without giving it much thought as a way to reflect and several people said I should translate it in case it may help others. I apologize in advance for the rough translation.
No one asked it of me but here is some advice on what I've learned as a freelance illustrator and how I am able to support myself and my fiancée with that income
I don't know if it will work out for you or if it's a bothersome long read, but I believe it's important to write this, and in the future it will probably serve as a personal reminder.
