Storm Kingdom Citizen Entry: Sita Mrauk

Sita Mrauk
Age: 29
Height: 5'5"
Species: Collared treepie
Occupation: Jeweler (and Jewel Hunter)/ former professional thief
Personality: Highly ambitious and passionate with her work. Has a bit of a greedy side, but tries not to take more than what she can handle. Very sly and manipulative, often coaxes her customers into buying her trinkets.
Likes: "shiny things", Steamed Egyptian Flesh Scarabs (tastes like steamed crab) and other rare, exotic delicacies , old maps and stories about temples and legends, steampunk and clockpunk fashion
Dislikes: dead ends (only when adventuring), "giant carnivorous flying fishes" (she sometimes admits that sounded kinda silly), fakes who tries to look cool as adventurers

Bio:
Left to fly on her own as a child, the girl that will eventually call herself Sita would live an early life that always involve either running or flying away with a bit of stolen gems clutched on her claws. Her skill for thieving jewelries had often attracted trouble from other (and older) thugs, but she often gets around with enough to pay for food, not only for herself, but for the children at an old and nearly run-down orphanage she then resides in. And while their "mother" doesn't always agree with what she is doing, she always reminds the girl that so long as whatever she does is bound for a good reason, she will always be looked up upon by someone. 

She does try to change, or at least be a more "productive member of her society"; she sometimes helps out with a metal worker she knew around the kingdom, learning skills on making fine jewelries and trinkets. She often applies what she learns on forging her own "pretties", selling them second-hand to naive buyers. This, however, proved to be a slow business for he, thus forcing her to steal more often than not, but there came one time that her thievery had been met with bad ends. 

Tipped of an information about a carriage that was supposed to be a transport for some very rare weapons, she tried her luck to see if she can pull off with a prized weapon, with hopes of selling it to the black market. But the tip turns out to be a ruse, and she was soon captured by the Kingdom's Royal guards. Albeit she was able to escape that night no sooner after she is caught, the girl decided to run away after she saw the guards warn her "mother" of her activities and how they will shut down her home if she is ever caught again.

Fearing of what they'll do to the only family she knew, the girl had made the decision to run away from the orphanage with promises of that she will still find a way to help out with repairing and improving the home. With that, the girl began to steal and trade priceless artifacts that she will steal from one kingdom to another, save her own; the trades often involves running to terrible men, but so long as she is paid hefty, she will accept any price and give what she can for her home.

One time came, though, when she is forced to do something she wasn't entirely capable of; her reputation as a thief had soon fallen to the ears of a lord who wishes to gain a powerful item; a prized shield that is rumored to grant its holder the power to absorb and harness whatever force hits it. If she was to steal it from the safeguards of a kingdom, she will be paid more than what she normally earn with her usual trades.

Though enchanted by the high price at first, she eventually discovered how powerful it was when she used it against the guards during the thievery. Seeing that she cannot let someone as low as her employer have it, she surrendered and offered to rat him out in exchange of her freedom. 

The procedure was a success; the crime lord and his thugs was caught with the false presumption that she was "killed for the information" (as a request), and she simply took away one souvenir from her exploit after his capture: her employer's bible of maps, leading to almost every known temple in New Ooo.

Years of temple raiding later, she soon returns to the Storm Kingdom to settle down and run a shop wherein she makes fine "pretties" out of the treasures she has taken. She still helps out with the orphanage, though still anonymously, but her years of absence had worked wonders as nobody recognizes her anymore, taking in a name for herself: Sita Mrauk.

Notes:
~ She used to speak with a Nepalese accent, but due to her constant traveling, she now speaks with fluency to almost every accent. Her favorite would be Russian and Australian
~ The gems she takes from those dungeons are later turned into jewelries which she sells; however, for gems with magical properties, she tends to either keep them or sell them through private transactions, only after she makes a thorough research about her customer.
~ skilled in swordplay and dagger play, but is horrible when it comes to long range weapons.
