Behold, my spell caster.
Created thanks to Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, *puimun, and her most amazing books, walkthroughs and inspiring techniques

Anja Rubik, a world-class model, got banned on Instagram for showing a beautiful and artistic photo of her beautiful and artistic nipple. Now I don't expect any of that to happen on an art site, but people are stupid, and will report you for the most idiotic things. So, nudity warning is up.

size: 30x40 cm
medium: W&N watercolours on Fabriano paper
stock: [link] by one of my favourites, `mjranum-stock, Marcus Ranum. Model is Sarah Ellis.

Thanks for you comment, glad you liked it.

Well ! Somehow he is right ! The sky and b00bs must be both very soft ! =D
You're welcome, I really liked it (the picture I mean, not touching the b00bs. Unless... ?...)

Two things make a picture: The eyes (especially in portraits) and the b00bs. You have to pay extra attention to both, otherwise it's pointless. You get the eyes or the b00bs wrong, the whole picture is wrong and you can just throw it away. Simple fact :)

Lol X)
Fortunately, eyes and b00bs are not our sole point of interest for us artists X)
I pay special attention to the mouths, I like when they are perfect and I especially like the moment when I paint them...

Fantastic colours, great composition. I love it!

When I looked at it first, I thought: "Oh, that reminds me a bit of Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, but it also has a style and individuality of its own."

Great work. Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow, thank you. To be compared with the greatest, that's the best compliment one could get. Stephanie has incredible style, and incredible passion for details. I'm aiming in that general direction, spending more and more time on each painting. Glad someone noticed the resemblance :)

Wow, great! Love the colours, and the painting style is really interesting! So I was very interested in seeing a walkthrough, thanks for this :) Looks very time consuming to stop at every line. But great work, maybe I'll try this style in the future :)

Yes, this particular technique is incredibly time consuming, and you need to be very patient. But it's also worth every minute spent, all the waiting and hard work pays off. I find it relaxing. I based this on one of Stephanie's (*puimun) walkthroughs, she published 3 whole books describing her techniques in details, and I recommend them to everyone :)

You can buy them all at Shadowscapes [link] I'm using the Dreamscapes series (3 books). Highly recommended, all 3 of them, but start with "Dreamscapes" maybe? Quick delivery to Europe via normal post, nothing ever got lost.

I could easily see this as a Tarot card, if you're into that sort of thing. Very nice!

Well, I tried to resemble something my favourite Tarot card creator does, so that's probably it. I never thought about it myself, but hey, good idea :)

Hey, thanks! I tried to paint in *puimun's style, actually to be more precise I used the exact step-by-step from one of her magnificent walkthroughs. I think I did well. It's a great feeling to be someone's inspiration, just like someone else was mine. Thanks for the fav as well :)
