I found that

I'm not complaining.  Now, my question is: Should I create more freebies?

BTW, this is not the first time I found something that have released after my freebies at DAZ 3D's store.

You're a trend-setter.  ;)  It's obvious that the content creators are watching you to see what's hot, then following.  :D

Your freebies have always been first-quality, and your Amy for A3 was the first characters I ever used in a render.  (Don't worry, I wasn't doing fetish art at the time.  ;P)  Do what you want, and if others follow after you just take it as the compliment that it is.  :rose:

I agree with the others, your freebies have always been awesome. I really do hope though that DAZ people aren't ripping off your work and selling it, that would be terrible. And very bad manners. And theft.

Your freebies are some of the best out there! Plus they give people that can't afford a lot of the stuff on DAZ an opportunity to still use great top quality items.

I very much appreciate your freebies. Please don't stop. LOL :D

I've had some stuff appear in market that was similar to my freebies in the past as well. But I also try to remember that we all are exposed to the same influences as far as culture and trends online. The same movies, novels, etc. So sometimes products appear around the same time that are similar and are not an intentional copy.

I know I might be giving too much benefit of the doubt. Daz has been copying intellectual property for years. *shrugs*

In any case. I'm another one who will always check the freebies first for what I need. Only if I can't find it there do I head to one of the marketplaces. And I do very much like your work and have for a long time. Thank you for everything you let us play with. ^_^

If they didn't take your files directly then it's legal. Unless you have a patent and license for the item you created.

Honestly I first thought I was seeing gamer girl hair from Rendo.  But I have seen several character being sold on both at same time at both.  Honestly dont stop.

Yes! Please don't stop! Your's are great! There's always going to be the copycat here and there, though as previously alluded too, maybe it's just coincidence? Having some items for sale is not a bad idea either though that's a tough thing too. I hear Renderosity and Daz take a cut of whatever is sold off their pages. In the end, whatever you do, I think it should be net positive for YOU.

I'm always going to pick freebies over buying a product.  I always try to research what's out there before I buy anything.  If you think someone is copying your models and making money off it, you can confront the artist and Daz3D as long as you made it clear that your models are not to be redistributed or sold for commercial gains.

Edit: I would hope that you continue to make freebies, but if you need/want money, I wouldn't hold a grudge if you asked for money.  It's your prerogative.

the headphones also look very similar to another freebie by somebody else that I've seen. Hmm. I wonder if knows about one of their creators possibly being a copycat or something? then again, there's a lot of cat-themed headphones around and pjs like that. I'd have to buy the set to see if the meshes were done the same way or not. which I don't want to. =\

Still, they could have change the mesh a bit.

While I always appreciate freebies (and yours are phenomenal), I would love a way to support your efforts. You could always put some things for sale on Renderosity and occasionally offer a freebie.
