Animated Atrocities-Take and Fake by AMX-269 Animated Atrocities-Take and Fake by AMX-269
As we Internet reviewers say, this plot is "Bad SpongeBob episode" logical!

But seriously, here's my thing with continuity. I guess it sort of depends on both the series and the episode. In a show like "The Legend of Korra" or "Adventure Time," yeah, some episodes only make sense if you see them in order. Shows like "SpongeBob" or "Fairly OddParents"? Eh...not so much. So no, I don't find this episode insulting to "Bad Heir Day." Probably because there's a lot of other glaring errors that I have to focus on here.

First of all, why would Trixie invite Timmy's parents, let alone everyone else in Dimmsdale, except for Timmy, to her party? Yeah, that thing at the end where it turns out the fairies' invitation was Timmy's could have worked...if the Trixie who had revealed that wasn't Tootie in disguise! And then to make it even more confusing, the real Trixie acts like she never wanted Timmy at her party, and then catapults him out in the same way Timmy just did to Tootie.

So to recap...Timmy had to sneak into a party he might not even have had to sneak into, only to be exposed and booed out of said party, and then catapulted straight into the girl who "loves" him but has now become nothing more than another one-dimensional antagonist? And people seriously think MR. CROCKER'S behavior was the biggest problem with this episode?

Also, Trixie is not only a bitch to Timmy, she's a bitch towards her guests as well!

I hated Timmy in this episode.

Trixie was obviously more unlikeable since she invited EVERYONE IN DIMMSDALE except for Timmy!  If you think about it, this episode is almost as horrible as "It's A Wishful Life", and that was episode was during the pre-Poof era!

I guess you got a point but to me, I think that both Trixie and Timmy are equally unlikable in this episode.

I though it was okay.

I agree. Psst... Earth to Crocker, "Denzel Jr." is floating right in front of you. And what was just as bad as blowing a once heartwarming moment with Crocker, was the treatment of the love triangle between Timmy, Trixie and Tootie. Basically, Timmy wishes that Tootie was gone, thus sending her flying away (to likely land painfully on the ground), while he awaits to see Trixie, who sends him off in a similar way. How does Timmy respond? He's still in love with her. It's like the writer (who is surprisingly the same writer of "Squirrely Puffs" and "Lights Out") is really dedicated to sinking Timmy/Tootie ship. :|

My problem with this episode is that it's basically revolving around only two jokes:

1. Timmy's dad never stops talking about the shrimps being free. That gets tiresome REALLY fast.

2. Everything is something else because everything is a disguise. Sure, there's more you can do with that, but the writers hammered the joke into the ground until it stopped making any sense.

I never did like this episode either. You know considering how Timmy is treated is it any wonder he can be a little jerky sometimes?

"Looks at the name of the writer for this episode*

Not surprised.

This episode runs on horrible contrivances, an unfunny running gag, Timmy exclusions, and in-episode continuity errors. Sounds like an atrocity to me.
It's nowhere near as bad as It's a Wishful Life, Force of Nature, Vicky Gets Fired, Crocker Shocker, or Lights Out. Or as I like to call them, "The 5 FOP episodes from Hell"
