Animated Atrocities-Mice Capades by AMX-269 Animated Atrocities-Mice Capades by AMX-269
I will be honest, this is a pretty low-ranking Animated Atrocity. Like I said, the main plot of this episode isn't that bad. Basically, Timmy and Poof are forbidden to watch a typical "Tom & Jerry" expy, so Poof changes Timmy and Vicky into the show's characters, and hijinks ensue. And really, that does fit Timmy and Vicky's usual rivalry. Fair enough.

But then...there's everything else that happens in this episode. Once again, Timmy's parents provide perfects examples on how not to behave as parents. For example, we have Timmy's Dad taking a block of cheese to a baseball game, even mentioning that Timmy never caught a foul ball like "Sassy" did. Meanwhile, Mom shows us how she's clearly upset about being snubbed by a cheese block by claiming she's not upset while buying a bunch of expensive stuff with Dad's credit card. Wow writers, why didn't you just have "passive-aggressive" tattooed on her forehead in this episode?

And yeah, you know how Vicky's in this episode? Yeah, she's hired to babysit even though Mom's at the house the entire episode. Isn't a babysitter supposed to be there when the parents aren't? Timmy's pretty much had to fend for himself all the time while his parents were home; why should this episode be any different?

So yeah, if you can ignore the plot holes happening all around the main plot, I guess this episode isn't as bad as other "Fairly OddParents" episodes. Otherwise...yeah, there's a lot of problems here.

This could've been decent if both parents were going out and Vicky is here to look after Timmy.

Why is this guy on FOP? This guy used to be one of the writers for "Coconut Fred's Fruit Stand" and "Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get a Clue", two of the worst cartoons ever made. Why is he working on FOP?

I don't even remember the parents in this episode. We're they really that much of a deal breaker?

I would also add 1-3 points for unnecessary cruelty for Wanda forcing Timmy to never watch Sleezy and Cheesy ever again. And for that I'd also give some points for character derailment.

Really, I don't agree with that. I just saw that part as Wanda not wanting Poof to be exposed to negative influences. And since Timmy and Cosmo liked the show too, the only way for her to ensure that Poof didn't watch it was to make sure they couldn't watch it either. It may just be because my mom was the same way when I was a kid, but I actually wasn't bothered at all by that part.

The first time I watched the episode and did not really enjoy it that much. For some reason Timmy's Parents never was a problem in this episode to me, but what really bugs me about this episode is that they abuse the frying pan gag to much in this episode. That was actually the reason why I stop caring for this show time ago. For the fact that most episodes that I watched abuse to much the same gag in the same episode.
