Adventure Time-Hey Brother by AMX-269 Adventure Time-Hey Brother by AMX-269
What if I'm far from home?
Oh Brother, I will hear your call.
What if I lose it all?
Oh Sister, I will help you out!
Oh, if the sky comes falling down,
For you,
There's nothing in this world
I wouldn't do.
--Avicii/Dan Tyminski

This idea has been in my head for days, and it wouldn't leave me alone until I created it. With all the crazy plots going on and the loads and loads of characters in "Adventure Time" nowadays, sometimes it can be hard to remember what this show started out as: the adventures of a boy and his magic dog brother. When you get right down to it, Finn and Jake would do anything for each other, and that's shown throughout the series.

In "Evicted," Jake reassured Finn when their house searching wasn't going well, and they were home as long as they were together.

In "Dad's Dungeon," Jake realized that Finn was being hurt by their dad's messages and was willing to come clean about what was really going on. Jake also made sure Finn knew he didn't think his brother was a whiny baby. I drew them as their baby versions to show that they've been brothers since the beginning; that, and they just look so cute.

In "Finn the Human/Jake the Dog," Finn and Jake were still close in the farmworld, to the point that Finn was losing his sanity because of it. And once Jake realized Finn was suffering in the farmworld, he made sure his wish would save them both.

Finally, "Blade of Grass" has one of the best endings I've seen in a while. No convoluted plots, no unnecessary drama, not too many characters...just Finn and Jake running off to play with his new sword. Sometimes the simple stuff is better, you know?

And now...I guess Finn's going to be meeting his human father. Is this going to affect his relationship with Jake? And how does Finn think of Margaret and Joshua now? Will he still think of them as Mom and Dad? I guess I'll just have to wait until the 21st...and hope like heck that I don't have to work that night.
