Now this was an episode I was excited for, especially after seeing its preview clip. But at the same time, I was a little apprehensive. As I said in the actual review, the writers could have really messed up with Charlie as a character; not everyone sees a "pest" character as endearing.

Thankfully, they made it work. As it turns out, yes, Charlie can be a little obnoxious...but his heart is most definitely in the right place. He is genuinely grateful that the bears are letting him stay at their cave, and he's thrilled that he actually has friends. And he does get some sympathetic traits as well; we've already seen a character like Nom Nom, who adores fans flocking him and taking pictures...but Charlie hates it. It's no wonder the poor guy is a little socially awkward. The fact that Panda and Ice Bear (especially Panda) were willing to help Charlie out after hearing about his plight says a lot too. For a second, I really did think Panda was going to give Charlie up...but it seems like even he was sympathetic to the bigfoot's problems.

So yeah, I do hope Charlie gets some more appearances (there's a future episode called "Charlie Ball," so that's hopefully at least one). It would be nice for the bears to have another friend to hang out with sometimes.

I thought this episode was pretty average. I was expecting Charlie to be all "I act this way because of X," and we got just that. Though, we never really got the reason why Charlie acts so impolite. If he keeps on losing friends, how has he not figured out yet that it's because of his personality? That's my biggest gripe with the episode. It's not too major, but it keeps me from liking it.

Overall, I think this is one of the weaker We Bare Bears episodes. Not bad, but definitely not up to the show's standards.

The way I saw it, it's not that Charlie's lost friends. He's never had any friends. We don't know how long these people have been chasing him around, and he mentions that he can't stay in one spot for too long because of it. Charlie's not being impolite on purpose; if he's been chased around for most of his life, he probably just never learned how to actually make friends.

Hmm, I guess that makes sense. I dunno, I've only seen it once. I might watch it again with those thoughts in mind.

This episode was worth it for the death stare that Ice Bear shot Charlie when he put cheese balls in his soup.

FUN FACT: Charlie is voiced by Jason Lee, Or Earl from My Name Is Earl

So we have another Pixar roll (he was Syndrome from Incredibles)

Who's next: Tom Hanks?
