Shadow in My Dreams, part 4The Shadow in My Dreams
Nowadays, those dreams feel like they happened a long time ago.
It's all over now. As it turns out, the real instigator of all the chaos was Beiloune, the man we had thought was Marlene's butler. As it turns out, he was actually Marlene's father, and the creator of the Classification System that existed in the world. As for Marlene we finally figured out what had really happened with her. Beiloune had created the doll Marlene to exist in this world after the real Marlene just...disappeared. So all the real Marlene could do was see everything through the eyes of the doll Marlene.
By the way, don't worry if you can't follow any of this. I can barely keep everything straight.
The point is, after we defeated Beiloune, everything went back to normal. The Classification System was terminated with Beiloune no longer around, and everyone in the group went their separate ways. Linda, Epros, and Big Bull became part of t

After the second time Stan came into my dreams, a lot of stuff happened, so to speak. Stan, Rosalyn, Kisling, Marlene, and I traveled all over defeating all the different Fake Evil Kings. In fact, we even recruited three former Fake Evil Kings into our group: Big Bull, Linda, and Epros.
However, between the time we recruited Linda and the time we recruited Epros, something scary happened. Something much more scary than having to fight a Fake Evil King.
Basically I disappeared off the face of the Earth. My body became transparent, and everybody forgot about me: my friends, my family and Stan.
As I was wandering around, completely unsure what to do, I came across the town of Triste. It was full of people like me: people who were completely forgotten; their existence denied by the rest of the world.
But, thank God, I came across the Ringmaster, the circus leader who had first given me the Map O' Evil Kings. He said I could be restored if I w

As it turns out, the next time Stan came into my dreams, it was also at the Madril Inn. At that point, Kisling and Marlene had joined Rosalyn, Stan, and me; we had arrived at Madril after staying at my house for a day. That night, I had gone to bed feeling disgusted and upset with, well just about everyone, including myself.
Well, maybe not everyone. I guess it was mostly directed toward Marlene and my family. Let me explain: when we were staying at my house, my whole family basically assumed that Marlene was my girlfriend. I mean, don't get me wrong; Marlene was definitely pretty, but that was pretty much the only redeeming quality about her, at least at first. That Marlene reminded me too much of my sister, and her temperament, for my liking.
But that wasn't why I was angry with Marlene. No, I was mad at her for what she had done earlier that morning. She had noticed the special music box Mom had given me; the one I was su
Shadow in My Dreams, part 1Author's Note: Hmm okay, I can explain. I know I said I wasn't writing anymore fanfiction, but this idea has been swimming around in my head, and I had to share it with all of you. So, I guess I'll revise my previous declaration; as of now, I'm in semi-retirement. I'll still write when I have the occasional idea, but I think I'll limit it to DeviantArt; no more posting on Fanficton.net. So from now on, probably the only thing you should expect from me is the occasional one-shot, couple-chapter stories, and stories featuring my OCs (like Kala and Artist).
In this case, it's a story for my latest obsession: Okage: Shadow King. I just love the interaction between Ari and Stan; plus, I was intrigued by a scene early in the game, where Ari has a nightmare about Stan. The result was this story, told from Ari's POV. Happy reading! -AMX
