1001 Animations-The Fridge by AMX-269 1001 Animations-The Fridge by AMX-269
Honestly, I could call this episode an equivalent to "Land Before Swine" from Gravity Falls. Instead of the normally jerky character being allowed to act jerky because that's just "their character," she's rightfully called out for her behavior and sees the error of her ways.

And really, it could even be argued that Nicole's overall intentions were in the right place: she wanted the other members of her family to reach their full potential. Unfortunately, there's a fatal flaw in Nicole's plans: her arrogance. Because she projects herself as being perfect and is a known sore loser, it's impossible for Gumball and the others to match her standards. And while Richard, Darwin, and Anais try in vain to reach Nicole's standards, Gumball realizes that the whole thing is actually harmful for everyone involved. And even better, Gumball actually comes out of this episode on top. So, in a way, I guess Nicole's fridge chart did work: it helped motivate Gumball to show his family how crazy they were all behaving.

I can safely say that this episode is one of my favorites for Gumball. Now if only it didn't air in the same season as my least favorite episode...

You raise a good point on her perspective, how can she want them at their full potential if she wants it below hers, pretty sure that's a paradox

Considering what we learn about Nicole's parents later on in the series, it's probably no surprise that she acts the way she does. A big difference is that Nicole's children are actually capable of calling their mother out when she starts going too far.

That probably because she didn't want to install her dreams into her own kids, like when they named her Doctor Nicole, or counting down the exact minutes til she marries a doctor and she actually lets them make their own choices.

I rather like Nicole's "jackass"-ness since usually she brings it out when it makes sense, like someone the kids or Dad or messing up, and she kind of ends up being a badass in a lot of situations. Plus, episodes like The Limit make me sympathize with her. I can't remember one ep where i felt she went too far, or in the very least, it wasn't funny in some way. But yeah, this episode is very good.
