Description
"The Roost of a Mongol"
Tarbosaurus bataar. A digital painting of my Tarbosaurus, Khan, resting in a roost of his. Lying in front of him is one of his previous meals, a Tarchia.
I did find some issue with the flexibility of the tail's pose I had come up with, so I consulted with Dr. Thomas Holtz and Scott Hartman on whether the pose was doable or not. Turns out it's feasible for a tetanuran like this to do it (somewhat ironic since Tetanurae means "stiff tails").
This was done around the same time as my other tyrannosaurid painting,
.
Would have finished this sooner but I really wanted to finish up my Poison Ivy piece
, which only took me a day.
Completed on the 25th of July 2014.
Done using pencils and Photoshopt CS6.
