"The Old River King"

Crocodylus porosus. A digital painting of an old, nearly toothless male saltwater crocodile just resting in the early morning.

This was inspired by a photo, which was taken by David White, of a real elderly crocodile named, The King, who lives in the Daintree River system. That river system does have a nice cadre of saltwater crocodiles, including The King, who is dominant male of the area.

Completed in July 2020.
