"The Inked Crone"

Speculative tyrannosaurid. An ink drawing of my speculative Kundur tyrannosaurid, Baba Yaga, enjoying a meal.

I don’t usually have the time and the drive to churn out ink drawings throughout the month of Inktober but I try to dish out a few drawings for the month if I can. This is the second drawing I’ve done with Copic markers (as I just got some a few weeks ago). I have known about Copics for years thanks to the art of Adam Hughes but only just decided to try them out (namely because of the price). I have to say, these are superb markers.

I might color this up further for a digital painting, giving Baba Yaga a landscape to survey as she eats. This is one of two pieces I’m posting this Halloween week (I’ll post the other on Halloween itself).

Completed in late October 2019.
