“Territoriality”

Tyrannosaurus rex, Quetzalcoatlus northropi. An acrylic painting of my Tyrannosaurus, Helushka, having just taken apart a rival who decided to try to usurp his territory during a seasonal forest fire.

This piece was a long time coming, since I had been struggling to figure out a piece that encompassed Helushka as a battle-hardened veteran who is not to be trifled with.

This is also meant to accompany an upcoming collaborative project with a paleosculptor I know.

Completed in early March 2022.
