“Animal Protein Supplement: Tasty Dromaeosaurs”
Edmontosaurus regalis, Acheroraptor temertyorum. An acrylic painting of a male Edmonotosaurus snacking on a young Acheroraptor he had found in the bushes.
The first in the series of some classically herbivorous dinosaurs supplementing their diet with animal protein. This is a phenomenon a lot of people seem to be unaware of given how often people commented on the preliminary sketch of this with, “But Edmontosaurus is a herbivore.”
I’m thinking about emulating a style similar to Morten Solberg’s wildlife paintings for this series.
Completed in March 2022.
Next up is a Protoceratops pair ganging up on a young tyrannosaurid.
Done using acrylics, color pencils and Photoshop 2022.
How many animals actually are totally obligate Herbivores?
