This is my entry for Photomanip Fan Art Contest (fav.me/ddrcwh5) hold by
A „The Hobbit“ fan art – what else?
As I found it impossible to create a work copying the movie 1:1, I also used inspiration from the great books „The Hobbit Chronicles: Art and Design“ by Weta (the designers), especially part 2 (www.amazon.de/Hobbit-Desolatio…). There are more ideas about the Woodland cells could have looked like, about the character design and so much more. Very inspiring
Well if I remember correctly, Tauriel was talking about an ongoing moonlight (?) festival on that night. I thought it a shame that she was still wearing her ‚uniform‘ instead of something more female and beautyful. It would have been a great opportunity to show her female side – I mean she’s an elven lady after all. That doesn’t mean she has to look Galadriel or Arwen – but a little bit more female would have been great There were a few great ideas of a more female version on the book, so I got inspiration from them.
