And so Little Ami FINALLY DISCOVERS THE TRUTH BEHIND UTALOIDS.
They're made out of human voice banks.
........ YEAH, YEAH, I KNOW, DON'T YELL AT ME, OKAY?!?
Gee, I always wondered why there were like a billion UTAUs out there made by people. STUPID AMY, IT'S BECAUSE THOSE PEOPLE HAVE VOICES.
I never really paid much attention to UTAU, since it sounds a bit more choppy and robotic than Vocaloid, until I was talking to
currently, and we discussed her UTAU's voice. When she talked about her accent, something just popped up in my head saying, "WAIT. WHAT?? How are UTAU voice banks REAAAALLY made?"
And so I Googled it and... Yep. Apparently, you record your voice saying Japanese fragments and input it into some program, which turns it into a voice bank.
The thing is... How did I think that they WEREN'T made by humans? I guess it's because I was reading some misleading comments about pitching down some voice parts on a video about someone's character. My previous theory was that there was already a boring blank recording in the program, and that you could pitch or lower the sounds to make your robot. I should've thought a little further, and that if people did that, the world would run out of UTAUs and octaves XDDD .
Thank you for listening to me ranting on how stupid I am.
