the concorde went on 23/7/01 (Monday, 23 July 2001) from maddesur airport, the flight systems showed no issues before flight when the self check was used, about 500 seconds into the flight, (8.3 min) into the flight, some people complained of vibrations in the cabin (around middle) but was dismissed as it going into supersonic speed. about 6 mins later, a loud bang went off and smoke came out of engine 4 (left side) the crew noticed and lowered power to engine 1 to attempt to stop it from turning, this lead to a second bang, the blades from engine 4 have exploded and damaged engine 3 and 2, the first engine then malfunctioned and spun up faster than the computer would allow, the flight warning system began saying" WARNING! ENGINE MALFUNCTION ON ENGINE 1,2,3 AND 4, current engine power is as follows: engine 1: 43% engine 2:8% engine 3: 3% engine 4: 0%" the crew then did a bold move, they turned the plane around and the flight gear enabled, the plane then lost all power.
a few mins later, the plane was about to land when they were told that they were going too fast, they turned around but then all power cut as the power from engine 1 and 2 failed, the craft then crashed into the ground at around 110 to 244 mph, 4 people died and 24 people were crippled. 2 of the deaths were staff and 3 of the crippled people were staff. a lawsuit is in place however, a investigation revealed that the concorde had frame damage from the heat.
