Description
When first setting out on this project, the thought concept was
to create an ‘overlay lace' that could be worn over anything.
Something similar to a net, but not with that net appearance.
And even though that look is there, something more happened while creating. It felt like two worlds came together to form a perfect union.
Every moment I worked on this it felt as if stars reached to cascade softly to a seas embrace.
Of course it has that nouveau fantasy flair; a hint of victorian, a smidgen of egyptian. -- and the angles and curves even dabble a shade of deco.
No pattern, no drawing – all freehand and fueled on love, and goodness, photo’s just can’t do this piece justice.<3
So Here are the schematics:
~144 feet of chain
~Various cut shaped and placed modern and vintage findings
~420 inches of double crystal findings that compile hand created trim (with an added 400+ variegated through chain and encased design)
~Dozens of Swarovski crystal drops.
~Weight is a little over 5 lbs, but don’t let that fool you, It gracefully drapes the body and is perfectly balanced
This is three months of work -- but well worth it <3
