Drawing tutorial - Graphite powder: [link]
Video timelapse: [link]

The grasshopper is an insect of the suborder Caelifera in the order Orthoptera. To distinguish it from bush crickets or katydids, it is sometimes referred to as the short-horned grasshopper. Species that change colour and behaviour at high population densities are called locusts.

Ok last question.... Do you use smooth bristol paper or what kind do you use?
Reply
:iconambr0:
AmBr0 Featured By Owner May 24, 2013
It depends, this one is Canson Lineal sketch 160 g/m^2 with certain sepia tone. I mostly use smooth Bristol 250 g/m^2 for realism but also Derwent and HahnemŁelle... hope it helps!

I use strathmore smooth Bristol 270 gm..... Is this Ideal

:iconambr0:
AmBr0 Featured By Owner May 24, 2013
I normally use Canson and Lana for Bristol, some people also recommended me Strathmore but I still didn't test it. I think the difference should be minimal in any case, let me know if you are happy with Strathmore's qualities.
