The Monster in the Mirror

3ft x 4 ft, oil on masonite panel. I wanted to make reference to another Frankenstein story as to where Frank gets locked in an attic and uncovers a mirror. Once he sees what he looks like he breaks the mirror and tries to kill himself - this was my response to that scene to where the Bride sees herself but accepts the monster in the mirror. Being a 6'4" woman with pink hair, I often feel like a monster walking around in this world, but I have come to love it and wanted to celebrate our beautiful differences and encourage others to do the same. Remember, even if you are green you are still beautiful!
