Hello everyone! It has been literally ages since the last time you’ve heard from me, and I apologize.
No surprises here, but I do not use dA anymore. Though that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped drawing, on the contrary; but I’ve moved all of my artistic activity to tumblr, and more specifically my Monster Hunter themed ask-RP blog, but advertising it isn’t my main point in this post.
I should have done this way earlier, but I would like to explain why I’m questioning this present dA account. The main reason is that most of the art posted here is old, very, very old; heck the first drawing I uploaded dates back to when I was 13.
As a result, I’ve posted a lot of stuff from different universes and fandoms most of which I do not even follow anymore (MH being an exception, but it’s also the fandom I’ve discovered the most recently compared to the rest).
I do not draw as many random animals, anthros and dragons like I used to. I now dedicate myself a lot more to OCs and commissions, and have less free time for other stuff due to studies. I draw a lot more humanoid people, and I think I’m slowly getting better at it. My style and technique have changed;
I’ve moved to digital art for almost everything, mainly for a matter of convenience (sorry TotGM fans, but I will have to figure out how to make a good digital alternative of this comic series before considering to continue it). Heck even my English has improved.
To put it short, I am not the same artist now as I was when I used dA on this account.
This is why I’ve posted fewer and fewer works, as my main thoughts were, meh, people who follow my dA won’t care about my newer stuff, they didn’t Watch me for that in the first place. See what I mean?
Now, I do not plan on deleting this account until necessary. There are still good memories attached to it. But if I plan on ever using this website again, I really need to breathe some new, fresh air, change my community, one that is more adapted to who I am now. So yeah, just sharing the thought that I may end up creating a brand new account at some point, and start getting a little bit more professional with it, for lack of a better term.
Feel free to share your thoughts. I’ll let you all know if/when I actually do make a new account.
(Kinda sad that I won’t be able to call it Amayensis, though.)
