To quote from the song ... "This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction." Hello all you lovely deviants, just a quick note to all of you to let you know ... "And believe me I am still alive. I'm doing Science and I'm still alive. I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive." For those of you (which is probably most) who have not been kept in the loop, I am up against a truckload of medical issues, initially triggered by ILD/IPF which was eventually addressed by a SLuTX (Not what you think, get your mind out of the gutter, you filthy pervs! 😏), but for good measure has caused a circus of subsequent issues (blood sugar out of control thanks to steroids and immunosupressives, thrombosis, kidney failure and therefore low count of red blood cells ... you name it, I probably got it). So naturally, online life does take a back seat. Which is the main reason for my inactivity here. And every time I think I can finally get back to some

Hello my countless delightful deviants, sometimes you need to bite the bullet and keep traditions going, even if it's against all odds. :shakefist: What. A. Year. :faint: As if the pandemic wasn't bad enough, :deviantart: decided to shove "Eclipse" down our throats, resulting in some serious disenchantment with the platform for me and, seemingly, quite a few others. While the initial slump has tapered off it seems, interaction still doesn't feel like it is back to previous levels. Oh well. Not much you can do about that, I suppose. So without further ado, here are the customary Top 5 pictures, once again ranked in ascending order of the number of favourites they managed to snag from all of you. #5: Look What I Found! Those of you who have followed my inanities for a while know that I do have a penchant for extremes. I make a point of staying at least close to the realistic side of things, but enjoy laying it on thick, like I did in this picture. Seems y'all liked my

I Can't Help It

0 min read
Hello again dear fellow deviants, well, I suspected this would happen, as much as I tried to keep an open mind about the "new" deviantART user interface so fondly known as "Eclipse". While I have gotten "used" to it in the sense that I pretty much know how to do the things I want to do, there is simply no getting around the fact that it is clunky and seriously inefficient. Using deviantart essentially has become a chore for me. It holds about as much appeal and enjoyment as using Atlassian Confluence or JIRA at work. Just catching up with what is going on takes so much time and energy that once I'm done with it, I lack the energy of commenting and even thanking people for watching. From what I can tell, I am far from the only one who feels that way. While faves and watches are still quite abundant -- and thank you all for that -- comments have seriously dwindled. And I am not blaming you folks for it. So please forgive me if I will be more quiet in the future and if new artwork

Badge Awards

Naaaah, I'm just being silly because I can I sit on a hill of fragments that accumulated over times, so best I can do with them, right? :giggle:

Well… my appreciation still stands… :rose:

It's so awesome to see you home and back and everything.  I get all emotional when I see your name.  Now more than ever!  Thank you for all your support... now... and over the years.  I don't know what I did to deserve knowing you but I would gladly do it many times over!  :tighthug:   :rose:

Thank you for the badge. Very kind of you. We wish you a speedy recovery.  Your pals in California, Michael and Shy.

You are quite welcome! I am so sorry you ended up outside the loop, silly me forgot that Trixie, as a trained medical professional, wouldn't share any information without me specifically OKing it.

I hope this holiday season finds both of you lovely peeps in good health, high spirits and happiness. As for my recovery, they say it takes about a year for all the atrophied muscles to return to former strength. So come October I should be good again. =D

In the meantime I shall try and abstain from any medical fetish play to the best of my abilities (like I get any say in this, first year has quarterly check-ups complete with bronchoscopy).:sprint:
