Literature Text
She stands rooted; a wild tower
grazing the translucent shroud
at her hip.
Her color is purple, passionate
for the flower that roots itself
in the rock.
Her heart is that calm before
the storm - steady, brash.
Her taste is of suckles born of Summer,
her smell an erotic incense
to the wind.
Her home is a split amid
wayward wisps during
the golden tide -
and she knows
She outshines the stars,
even to eyes of fire.
grazing the translucent shroud
at her hip.
Her color is purple, passionate
for the flower that roots itself
in the rock.
Her heart is that calm before
the storm - steady, brash.
Her taste is of suckles born of Summer,

to the wind.
Her home is a split amid

and she knows
She outshines the stars,

Your Heartbeat is a Dream
“Your Heartbeat is a Dream”
Your heartbeat is a dream.
One from which I sadly waken…
To find peace, in that I will sleep again.
I walked in the sunrise,
Surprised to find a summer’s day amid the snow…
Wanting you to know that I am thankful to be alive,
Simply because you were so good to me.
My heart is aching, though…
From what fear? I cannot define
What it is that makes me so afraid.
Is it that I have forgotten,
Or is it that I have never known
The way summer shines through the winter,
While it seems another world has found me?
Your heartbeat is a dream,
In which I gladly slumber on.
My heartbeat fears to break from you…
…that this is merely a winter’s dawn.

Of the voices in my head

Windchimes
With every sip
With every pass of wind
You are around my memory
Your soul is here and lingering
I am being reminded
There are these chants
that don't need us but to listen
What do they say today
Tears are filling the eyesight
I see potential, does anyone else?
Thanks for reading.

I adore this piece. Possibly because it so warmly reminds me of my own writing.
With that, excellent write. The last stanza is amazing. I love it.
