UHM it’s very wet and pretty cold 😭 it’s also frozen in six to eight months of the year lol. We don’t really have a nice fall or spring, it’s just like “oh it was winter yesterday, but it’s summer now honey” and “oop it’s winter now”. We get a lot of rain and nice, sunny summer days are usually like 65-75 degrees, but it also gets down to like -20 in the winter, sometimes for days on end. Like it’s not always “on -20 last night” no it’s -20 for like a week straight sometimes. Also, in the summer, the sun is hot but the air and wind are not, so you can be cooking in the sun, then move to the shade, and immediately be cold. It’s weird. We also have moose everywhere, especially in more back country ish areas, but I used to live in the heart of Anchorage and I definitely woke up to moose in our yard several times lol. It’s also very expensive. Like ik everywhere is rn but you have to remember it has to go a much further distance to get here. We don’t have snakes and ticks and a lot of bugs tho, because it is so cold. Definitely mosquitoes tho (I’m currently nursing like fifteen mosquito bites it’s ridiculous 💀✌️) also you will still burn. Just fyi. Like it’s cold and we don’t always get a lot of sun so it’s hard to remember that but I’m like a quarter Mexican and I burnt twice this year because I’m stupid and even tho I only spent like four hours in the sun I still got pretty bad sunburns. There aren’t a lot of places up here either, like we don’t have Jack In The Box and we just got a Sonic put in like four or five years ago now? I think that’s everything I can think of.
