Painted on the feather of a Greater Spotted Eagle.
Feather size 21x5 cm
Big thanks to the Help Center for the birds of prey and owls in Novgorod. They gave me this beautiful feather^^
I was waiting so long for this bird will moult <3

Do you glue your leather thonging to the quill? Ive been experimenting with this kind of craft and i get so frustrated with it :lol: I almost glued my fingers together trying to put the leather on...bad super glue! :stare:

Wow! That's so amazing... I've never heard of feather painting before. It must be very difficult to achieve such a great effect on such an unusual and fragile material. You're a great artist @@ I love gryphons and the sky and you painted it with great details, but also with your own unique style. I wish I could fav this infinity times~

This is something I've never seen before. It's hard to do work on wrinkly T-shirts, it's hard to do over bumps in concrete and roads or on fragile shells, but on a feather? I cannot imagine. It must have taken copious amounta of patience. It was well worth it. A masterpiece indeed, well done. :rose: Imagine if a bird was covered in decorated feathers like these? An interesting image indeed. That's a cool idea too, a sculpture of a bird with special meaning in each feather and perhaps wings of intricate fans.
