The logo is aesthetically pleasing; you have used rounded shapes for the wasabi, sushi and the font to bring all the elements of the logo together.
You have used empty space to ensure that the logo isn't cramped and it helped me fill in the picture of the sushi without extra work.
Though I do question whether it appeals to the high end restaurant, given that it appeals to me, an average graduate. Simple shapes and highly saturated colors give a more cartoon feel than a sophisticated one.
Still, with a logo like that, how could I NOT go to Hibachi Sushi?
