An alien from deep space, he was formerly a lowdown, scumbag bounty hunter that reveled in excessive violence and numerous personal vices, but that changed when a Higher Power called upon him to assume the role of Guardian of the Cosmos and bestowed upon him the unlimited power of the Astro Bands. Imbued with phenomenal cosmic energies, Vordax found he was more powerful than ever before, but also compelled, very much against his will, to confront threats to the universe itself, and he's not even getting paid. Seeking a way out of this gig, he has determined that anyone who can beat him in a fight would be a better candidate and so he seeks out those who are heroic and powerful enough to hopefully take the mantle from him.
