Summoner

By far my favorite aspect of the entire Final Fantasy franchise, and I expect I'm not alone in this, is the Summon creatures. Nothing beats calling in some kind of god-monster that lays your enemies to waste with a single epic attack. Espers, Phantom Beasts, Eidolons, Aeons, Astrals, Primals, Guardian Forces, whatever you want to call them, they're pretty much the icons of the series at this point. I love how they can be reinterpreted and repackaged with each entry in the series, you see old favorites return and new faces join in, it's great.

So, of course, I had to do my own takes on these amazing critters. I've formatted these entries as if they were in a game and reimagined a few of them in different roles so there's not so much redundancy. Also, I've always liked the term Eidolons best out of all the naming conventions for these things, so that's what I'm going with.

Eidolons- mighty beings, ancient spirits, demigods, ascended mortals, and mythical monsters, who all commanded immense magical power. Though many of them have passed from the physical world, their essence has been concentrated into enchanted crystals called Magicite which can be used by Summoners to invoke their power.
