At one time a promising young hero in training, Kosmo appeared to have the power to alter the flow of time around people and objects, slowing them down, speeding them up, or freezing them in place. A useful power, but there was always something strange about it, and him. Then, things began changing. People, places, moments in history, even Kosmo himself would change, becoming a different race, a different gender, or a different person all-together. What no one realized until it was too late, was the Kosmo was shifting through quantum states, essentially shuffling pieces of different realities together. He seemed not to fully grasp what he was doing at first, but as things began to spiral more into a chaotic maelstrom, he chose to turn himself into someone who knew what they were doing. It was the last mistake he ever made. Kosmo Quantum was no longer a would-be hero, now he was a full-blown reality warping psychopath, one that had known all along that Kosmo would make the choice to become him, as he had in so many other versions of reality.

The mixing and mangling of realities continued until timid little Door Mouse managed to get the drop on Kosmo and used her Mouse Holes to transport him into the space between realities, and void where he had nothing to manipulate. He screamed in horror and begged her not to leave there but as he tried to grab her, she slipped away and returned to her own reality. Kosmo's influence slowly righted itself and things went back to normal. However, Door Mouse is haunted by the terrified, begging face of Kosmo and what he might do if he ever returned.
