Description
Hey folks, I'm back with a brand-new catalogue of brand-new characters. It's funny how inspiration can strike from anywhere without warning. I was going through some old files of mine and happened across a short-story I had written for an online class nearly ten years ago. It was a comedic little piece about a group of not-so amazing superheroes dealing with what was basically Invader Zim on steroids.
After rereading it, my brain began to percolate with new ideas for the characters I created and over the past few weeks that blossomed into a massive new endeavor which I will now share with you all. Starting off, we have our would-be hero, Herculad, who, upon discovering his legitimate divine origins as a son of Zeus, travels to Cosmopolis, the City of Wonders, to join one of the many superhero teams that reside there. Unfortunately, the best he can get is being part of a ragtag little bunch that go by the name of the Baker Street Half-Dozen. They're not exactly the greatest heroes, but Herc is still determined to give it his all and in the process his enthusiasm begins to inspire the jaded veterans of the team.
The rest of these entries will be presented in the following format:
Character- Herculad
Team Affiliation- Baker St. Half-Dozen
Real Name- Hank Cumberland
Age- 23
Gender- Male
Height- 7'0"
Weight- 426 lbs.
Strength Level- Class 9 (of 10)
Powers- Herculad is a genuine demigod and son of Zeus, as such he naturally possesses godlike strength and stamina. Upon expressing his desire to be a hero, his father gifted him with a number of Olympian artifacts to help him, including: the Winged Sandals of Hermes which bestow supersonic speed and flight, the Cloak of the Nemean Lion which conveys invulnerability, and Zeus' very own Thunderbolt to use in case of emergencies.
Bio- Hank was a smalltown boy who grew up in rural America and spent most of his young life helping on the farm. It did not escape him that as he grew, he became stronger and stronger until he could easily lift the large farming equipment over his head with one hand. He also grew to a staggering height and never seemed to get tired.
Eventually, his father revealed the truth, that he was in fact the God King Zeus in mortal guise. He had wished to live a simple, peaceful life but knew that Hank would eventually choose a different path. Ever mindful of the needs of others, Hank wished to use his gifts to help people and, with his father's blessing, set out to become a superhero in the great City of Cosmopolis.
Hank had intended to join the most illustrious superhero team, Power Force, but as he was lacking any references or practical experience, the best he could manage was to join the Baker Street Half-Dozen, who were short one member. Despite this, he is determined to do his best and his enthusiasm begins to rekindle the passions of the burned-out veterans that are now his teammates.
