Powers- Angelo's DNA is spliced with that of an insect, granting him substantially greater strength and agility than a normal human. His most overt skill is his ability to jump great distances, easily clearing over 200 feet in a single leap. After becoming the sidekick to Neon Papillon, she provided him with a protective suit of body armor and a set of cybernetic wings to help him adjust his trajectory during his jumps. His goggles are high-end sensors that can see in multiple spectra. He has also been extensively trained in hand-to-hand combat by Simone.

Bio- Angelo was an orphan living on the streets when he and many others were abducted by a mad scientist and experimented on against their will to become his army of mutated slaves. His model was meant to be a simple scouting unit, emphasizing speed and agility for quick escapes. The army was eventually destroyed by Big Brahma and the survivors scattered, wandering without purpose. Angelo had the good fortune to encounter Magnifique and Neon Papillon during their early tenure with Power Force and the two rescued him. After learning the boy's story, Simone was deeply moved and arranged to adopt him. Overjoyed at being accepted into a family, he eagerly sought to help her in her mission, becoming a sidekick to her masked persona.

During his time as Neon Papillon's sidekick, Cricket distinguished himself with many heroic acts, becoming one of the most popular young heroes in Cosmopolis.
