It may be possible. Years ago, when I was in college, I used watercolor painting as a relaxation pastime. I did take a couple of art courses, which were summed up in my mind by the comments of one of the instructors: "Your work is too pretty. I want you to go draw something ugly." So I went to the university museum and drew a picture of a mummy. Her response to that was to wonder "how you managed to make that thing look pretty..."
