Ch. 4: The Briefing
Aéagal nuzzled me, beaming and purring. I rubbed his snout like I would the face of a dog, scratching in circles too. I felt like a regular Hiccup Haddock.
“You like that? Huh?” I asked.
Hrrrrrrr! Aéagal replied. I had just finished another training flight with the big lug, and he absolutely loved it. He needed a bit of a scratch, I can’t imagine that armor allowed for him to itch and scratch very much. After I finished scratching him I looked into his eyes again, getting lost in how bright they were.
“You know buddy, I can’t imagine the future is going to be me and you just flying to let off steam. I’ve been anticipating something for a while, you know how sometimes you feel like something’s missing? That’s how I feel right now.” I said.
