The Forest That Hums

Once again I raise from the dead!

I'm still toying with the idea of doing TikTok/other platforms- If I'm honest, I think I'm just procrastinating due to the fear of starting over haha.

This is the start of a project I've wanted to start for years. Inspired by the story The Last Unicorn, I want to rewrite Celestia and Lunas origin story. This ios my first real attempt at visualising the style I want to go for. I wanted to experiment as I dont know if I want to go for a graphic novel or comic style yet.

So, Here's the 'official' teaser I suppose:

Before songs spoke of harmony, before crowns and kingdoms, there was a forest that hummed with sunlight.

She moves through the morning mists like something half-remembered — a remnant of a once-great species now reduced to legend, clinging quietly to existence. For ages she has wandered beneath tall trees and drifting light, her presence blending with the forest itself. Ponies who stray too near seldom glimpse her clearly, yet they leave changed, struck by an awe they cannot explain. Stories spread of a woodland untouched by chaos, where the air vibrates with an unknown hum and something ancient watches from between the leaves.

Revered but unnamed, she lives as both myth and mystery, unaware of the full truth of what she is.

Beside her travels a wandering magician who survives on clever illusions and borrowed confidence, unaware that the quiet mare at his side carries the fading legacy of an older world. Together they journey through lands rebuilt from fragments of memory, where false wonders are celebrated and real magic hides in plain sight.

As she begins to uncover her lost history, she is drawn toward a conflict that threatens not only the future of Equestria, but the final survival of her own kind. This scene captures an early moment in that journey — the stillness after escape, the first fragile trust between companions, and the quiet beginning of a legend learning its own name.
