After the First Austral War, Africa became the object of a colonial race. Brazilians, English, French, Boers, Egyptians (under the Turkish flag) set out to conquer the continent.
The Brazilians expand into Western Sahara and subdue the last Moroccan rebels. They took refuge in the Sahal. With Indian forces, Brazilians placed the Sultanate of Oman from the Strait of Hormuz to Zanzibar under a protectorate. They settled in Aden and Djibouti to block the Red Sea. In Southern Africa they installed numerous settlers to separate the Boers from the Cape and those from Vrijland.
The Boers of Vrijland, joined by numerous Boers persecuted by the Brazilians, advance towards the north and the fertile highlands of the Great Lakes. The Brazilians are trying to contain them in the East.
The English install settlers in Angola and take control of the coasts of the Gulf of Guinea.
The French expand from Senegal and gain a foothold in Ivory Coast. They also extend into Algeria and the Sahara. There they install settlers but do not practice the forced conversions of Muslims that the Brazilians do in Morocco.
Egyptians settle in Sudan.
