Whether extraterrestrial life would resemble life on Earth due to evolutionary convergence remains a matter of endless debate. It is an impossible question to answer until life is discovered elsewhere. I have chosen to remain cautious, even though I share the view that evolutionary convergence is a well-known example of which is life on Earth.

It is very dissapointing that the fish look so much like Earth fish. Like, you said that it is because of convergent evolution, but even on Earth skids, some sea slugs, and some shrimps all have a similar lifestyles as fish, but they look very different, because they took different paths to solve the same problems. Life evolved in a another planet would probably be even more different than fish, moluscs and crustaceans are between themselves, as even those have a common ancestor.
I guess that speculative evolution is not your passion, and you are probably more interested in exploring how humans interact with this world, and that is valid. But as a fan of speculative evolution projects, it is still dissapointing.
