In 1870 the Kingdom of the Bretons (official name of Brazil) reached record dimensions. With its Spanish satellite, it is the largest and most populous empire ever seen.

It has 502,761,000 inhabitants. including 126,152,000 Bretons/Gallos (25%). Brazil now has four very large cities (> 2,500,000) and four others approaching a million.

Economically, metropolitan Brazil rivals the USA and the UK together. However, its production is particularly behind at the level of heavy industry (25% of Anglo-Saxon capacity) despite the doubling of its volume in 10 years. The coal shortage is crippling.

Brazil, feeling the opposition growing in the face of its imperialist policy, considerably strengthened its army in 20 years. Considerable permanent staff are established in North America and Europe as well as in the East/India.

In total it has 3,850,000 soldiers (including 700,000 Indians) plus 10 million reservists. The navy has 311 large units manned by 1,050,000 sailors including 28 battleships and 18 motorized vessels.
