Description

What if Brittany had still been independent when America was discovered?
Here is that story!

On August 28, 1784, the Treaty of Port Conan was signed which established the Dutch defeat. Conan III returns Suriname but keeps the Cape Colony and Ceylon.

He demonstrated his new fleet which was the second in the world with 90 vessels in 1788. The permanent, well-financed and very well-trained crews rivaled those of the English.

The Kingdom of the Bretons of Brazil (full name) will have in 1790, 23,143,000 inhabitants, or more than half of the population of the two Americas. That’s twice as much as England, six times as much as the USA and four-fifths as much as France.
Brazil also has the second largest industry in the world after Great Britain and the three largest cities in America.

Conan III has no living sons. It was therefore her eldest daughter Louise (1751-1802) who inherited the kingdom on his death. She was married in 1775 to Jean III Le Fur (1751-1813), Prince of the Bay.
The crown therefore passes from the Rohan dynasty to the Capetian/Avaugour/Marianne/Le Fur – a branch 3 times bastardized!
Conan III chose it because Jean was successfully tested in a severe Prussian education, Louise also received this type of education.
