From 1704 to 1711 Brazil was at peace.
 
Hercule Rohan reinforces his domain with settlers and German mercenaries provided by the Anglo-Dutch.
Jean I Le Fur increased his autonomy in the Principality of the Baie and formed his own army.
In central Brazil, the Barons embezzle increasing sums, form private armies, and build baroque-style fortified castles.
As for King Conan II, he descended into debauchery in the enormous palace he had built near Ste Marianne.

In 1711 the Prince of the Baie died and his son Jean II (1689-1741) dreamed of becoming king. With Hercule Rohan, he launched the 2nd civil war in 1712.
Conan II is unable to react. It was his son Jean Rohan (1691-1720) who took charge of the defense.

Attacked on two fronts by better organized armies, Brazil can nevertheless count on its fortifications.
To the north, Jean II le Fur came up against Fort St Philippe, which he finally took in 1713 but had to abandon it in the face of the size of the Brazilian army which counter-attacked.

To the south Hercule Rohan manages to take St Paul, St Yves but fails to go further due to lack of sufficient troops. And on June 9, 1714 Jean Rohan defeated Hercule Rohan at the battle of Roch Grand. The latter, injured, died shortly after. Jean Rohan then wanted to continue the war but Louis Rohan (1679-1751), son of Hercule Rohan, proposed to negotiate a return to the old borders.
Conan II, who is afraid that his son will overthrow him, accepts Louis Rohan's offer. Thus ends the 2nd civil war.
