1517-1525: Edouard II, the Nero of Vinland

After "accidentally" killing his brother Richard VIII, Edouard III of Normandite begins his reign. He was then 20 years old.
He removes his mother from power and places his friends at all the key doors. They are often incapable but they are faithful.
He begins by persecuting the arrogant bourgeois and the corrupt bishops, which pleases the people. But he quickly delivered the country to the army, 250,000 men in 1520.

n 1521 the mother of Edouard III dies and shortly after he is the victim of an assassination attempt. Repression unleashes. He blames in particular the indolent Richard III, sovereign without power of Nouvelle Angleterre. He has him executed.
He becomes king of Nouvelle Angleterre under the name of Edouard II.

The king then sinks into megalomaniac and paranoid madness and delivers the country to the army.
Influenced by the Renaissance and Ancient Rome, he had the first Renaissance monuments built. He also dresses as a Roman, calls himself Caesar, recreates circus games with public executions, names his son Auguste, organizes orgies...
In 1524 the majority of the population hated him as much as he was feared.

In 1524 the town of St Pierre revolted with all of historic Normandite. Edouard II obtains the neutrality of Kebec by ceding new territory to Wulfnoth X. Edouard belatedly realizes that his army is suffering from total disorganization.
Then the king left to put down the revolt but was defeated against the St Pierre rebels. Wulfnoth X then goes on the attack and defeats Edward II. Ste Marie revolts and the king and his family flee to Texcoco.
The governor of Coatzacoalie arrests the fleeing king and sends him back. He disappears on his return, no doubt thrown into the sea on the orders of his sister, Marie. Wife of Wulfnoth X, she deeply hated her brother.
